Abstract

Rapid urbanization, population growth, climate change, and rising social and economic inequality have made the need for cheap, long-lasting, and strong housing even greater around the world. There are a lot of problems in many cities, like not enough homes, bad infrastructure, damage to the environment, and more people being at risk of flooding, heatwaves, earthquakes, and storms. Most of the time, traditional housing models do not deal with these complicated issues. This shows how important it is to come up with new ways to build homes that are both affordable and good for the environment and the climate. Resilient urban housing has become a complete solution that makes communities better able to handle environmental, economic, and social problems while also providing safe, welcoming, and resource-efficient places to live. Architectural solutions for building strong urban housing that helps make communities affordable and long-lasting. It looks at some of the most important ideas in resilient housing design, such as architecture that adapts to changing climates, energy-efficient building systems, sustainable building materials, modular and prefabricated construction, passive design strategies, water conservation, integrating renewable energy, and disaster-resistant structural systems. How digital technologies like Building Information Modeling (BIM), Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and smart building management systems can help make homes better at using resources wisely and lasting a long time.
